Join the mission with Sports Outreach and help us to restore hope and transform lives locally and globally!
Our mission teams serve alongside Sports Outreach indigenous staff in Uganda, Kenya, El Salvador, Mexico and the United States. These teams will have the amazing opportunity to jump right in and participate in daily activities such as feeding, sports clinics, construction, education classes, public health clinics, prison ministry and the list goes on. Our trips are as diverse as our teams and the experience is as unique as the individuals.

“In everyday life, it is easy to keep to yourself, it is easy to partially interact, or interact when you feel like it, or as an introvert, it is easy to remain in my comfort zone. Every day this trip we finished on empty and I wondered how I am going to get up and pour out so much of myself all over again because as an introvert I was socially exhausted. But, that’s where God used the joyous and infectious spirits of the kids to help teach me to love on empty every day and invest 110% in people all day. I learned that if you love with your whole heart, God will work his magic to give you the energy to do it the next day and the next. God used the kids every day to ignite you with love, to sing one more song 10x over, to toss them in the air one more time, and to give love and interaction unconditionally without holding back.” –Emily Maxwell, Lynchburg College
“My time in El Salvador was truly life-changing. Interacting with the community, joining English classes, and playing sports were all connected by praising God and sharing his love. Humberto is a true inspiration. His love for Christ, the deep connections he has with people, and passion for everything he does. I feel blessed to have witnessed.” – Abbey McKee, El Salvador
“Before the trip, I had only heard of what Sports Outreach is doing in Uganda and Kenya. Being able to go and witness how SOI is impacting people’s lives was so inspiring. These people work six days continually going into places that have the worst living conditions I have ever seen, to restore hope and transform lives by sharing the love of Christ. After meeting some of the people SOI has reached, I could see that even though they had so little, they were full of such tremendous joy and unwavering faith. It was so contagious. It was amazing to be able to see how God is using this organization. It was definitely an experience that I will carry in my heart for the rest of my life.” – Hannah Grasberger, Lynchburg College
“Going to Kenya sounded scary at first, but I am extremely thankful I took the leap and came here. It was eye-opening, encouraging, and challenging all in one trip. The people are incredibly hospitable and loving. The Sports Outreach team took great care of us. There were never any quiet moments with the team, and it was so hard to say goodbye.” –Emily Lockwood, AROMA
