Central Virgina Sports Ministry

The Cranes Soccer Academy is a local ministry of Sports Outreach Institute that uses sports as a platform to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to help the local church connect with the community around it.

The ministry focuses on three main initiatives.

Interns

Ministering to college age athletes while also training them in sports ministry. They gain experience through serving as coaches of our camps and serving at local churches and ministry sites. Local Churches

Creating long-term partnerships with churches and families who embrace our missionary method, desire to see the Gospel message shared, and youth grow in discipleship. Please click here for a pdf file with more details on how to partner with the Lynchburg Cranes Ministry.

Camps

Conducting soccer skills training for children of all ages, while incorporating Biblical teaching and sharing of personal testimonies from coaches. Each camp includes daily small-group times with their coaches with the goal of children understanding what it looks like to be a Christian athlete and worship God with his/her gifts. Camp Scholoarships: A good way to promote the camp within your church and community is to provide scholarships for children who otherwise would be unable to attend.
