Providing accurate information and practical resources, SOI offers Public Health ministry programs to empower those who are suffering from many different physical ailments.

Specifically in Africa, a ministry of compassion to HIV & AIDS victims has been established. SOI staff strives to educate the local population regarding disease awareness, prevention and treatment.

Through the sharing of the Gospel, SOI seeks to impart the knowledge of Godʼs mercy and to instill compassion and kindness in the hearts of others.

Additionally, SOI offers small micro-finance loans to assist the HIV & AIDS affected with the start up cost for new microbusinesses.

In Uganda and Kenya, SOI has developed several support and care groups that facilitate fellowship, education,
spiritual nurturing, and practical assistance.

Through partnership with Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia, over a 5 year period 90 public health certificates have been issued to Sports Outreach staff and volunteers who have been trained and demonstrate a working understanding of Public Health education and the value of spreading this knowledge to the people they ministry to on a daily basis.

SOI staff currently meets with over seventy HIV positive women each week to pray, study the Bible, worship and make jewelry and other items. The money they raise from selling these items goes to finance the needs in the slums. They have even formed their own soccer team!
