Soroti is a municipal center of about 66,000 in East Uganda. The city felt the devastating impacts of the Ugandan civil war during the early 2000s. Soroti is also one of the newest SOI ministry sites. The ministry has already started with great impact thanks to the efforts of the SOM Good News Football Club (GNFC) in Kampala and the Jose Zayas Evangelism International organization in Portland, OR.

The GNFC has played many matches in Soroti, using the opportunity to share the gospel during practices, matches, and soccer clinics. We ask that you would pray for the growth of this new ministry and for continued encouragement from city leaders and churches.
