Four In A Row For Lipscomb Women’s Soccer Team

For the fourth time in as many years, the Lipscomb University Women’s Soccer Team spent their spring break on a Vision Trip to El Salvador. Kendall Alvey, Local Ministry Director for Sports Outreach, accompanied the team as they visited various outreach sites in the city of Nuevo Cuscatlán, the hub of activity for the ministry of Sports Outreach El Salvador. The team was there to “be the hands of God,” doing His will, serving in any way to bring His Good News to the people of El Salvador. During times of ministry in the Tomas Rodriquez community, the little kids smiled and hugged even though they could not understand each other’s language. Through team members’ vulnerability in sharing their stories, teenagers opened up to tell their own heartbreaking tales. Every story matters to God and they mattered to the women from Lipscomb as well. In fact, several are planning to become involved long-term through sponsoring a child through Sports Outreach.
