A mission of Hope.
Coach Dino chose to begin working with Sports Outreach because of the approach to ministry; restoring hope and transforming lives through sharing the Gospel, making disciples, and meeting physical needs. That has now become Dino’s mission in Croatia because many families and individuals do not have hope. He believes that Jesus is the hope the individuals in Croatia need, and he wants to use sports as the avenue to show them.

In Split, Croatia where Coach Dino is from there are many people that do not go to church or know about God. That is why Dino has committed to bringing hope to his own community. With every sporting event, he teaches the Bible. Often he meets with teammates and players for coffee to share in a Bible study, or during a pause in practice he will share Scripture. Coach Dino is also partnered with a local church plant. This partnership is crucial because it gives the church a way to be involved in their community and it gives the people in the community a place to grow and learn even more about the Lord.
“I have started doing baseball in a town where one Pastor is starting a new church plant. It is awesome to see players who are there to play sports and hear the word of God. Before every softball and baseball practice we open the Bible and share scripture with them. Many of them do not go to church and it is awesome to see that sports is a place where they can learn about God and how to get saved.”
